San Francisco plastic surgeon David S. Chang believes that a great result in plastic surgery starts with individualized care that comes from listening to the needs of his patients and paying attention to the details. Dr. David S. Chang graduated with honors from Dartmouth College. He received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine and completed training in general surgery and plastic surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Chang has a particular interest and experience in breast reconstruction, an area that he finds especially rewarding. He and Dr. Kind have the most experience in Northern California performing the DIEP flap after mastectomy.

Dr. Chang is a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society for Aesthetic Surgery, and The American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been voted to the Castle and Connolly Top Doctors list.
